Who We Are

BEAR CREEK NATURE CENTER is a private non-profit that aims to spread the joy of nature and the outdoor world. Since opening in the Spring of 2020, our goal is to teach people of all ages in our community about our environment, hoping that they will cultivate a personal awareness, appreciation of, and participation in the natural world, especially of our native ecosystem. We teach a wide range of environmental and wildlife sciences, including zoology, botany, and ecology.

Though nestled in rural, mixed hardwood forest, we are only 20 minutes from the Hartsfield-Atlanta Airport in Atlanta, Georgia. We are near Fulton, Fayette, Coweta, Carroll, and Douglas counties. We’re proud to be the only nature center in Georgia with live bats on exhibit. We also have several reptiles and birds of prey as resident animal ambassadors.
